Mihaela Raescu
Prof. Dr. Mihaela Raescu is a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences – Dentistry (2002) who teaches Oral and Dental Prevention at the Titu Maiorescu University Faculty of Dentistry in Bucharest, Romania. She is a tenured University Professor since 2015, an active practitioner (since 1997) and primarius doctor(since 2006). She is the Erasmus Coordinator and a former President of Ethical Comitee of Titu Maiorescu University. Prof. Dr. Raescu graduated from the University of Craiova, School of Dentistry in 1995 and received post-graduate scholarships at the University of Birmingham (UK) and the University Claude Bernard Lyon II (France). Dr. Raescu has authored and co-authored numerous studies and publications and has been a guest speaker at various professional conferences. She conducted several research projects in dentistry field and products development as a Director and project manager. (European projects and private lab projects) and she is a PHD supervisor for the next generation of PHD applicants. In THR field she authored and co authored several reviews,articles and reports regarding the impact of switching from combustible cigarettes to alternative non combustible products on oral health. Since 2018 when she received a THR scholarship, she is actively involved in research regarding the oral cavity changes when using alternative non combustible products. As a Mentor in THRSP (tobacco harm reduction scholarship programme)-KAC, she recruited a research team who performed,supervised and signed several impact studies about the oral health changes when using HNB as an alternative to cigarettes consumption. She is fluent in French, English, Italian and conversational Russian, in addition to her native Romanian.
